Sprint, Cingular, and Verizon all have wireless modems that will work anywhere. The card for it costs about $90, the downside is that the service costs about $90 per month also.
If you have a laptop and cellphone that have BlueTooth they can communicate and your cell phone will provide the internet signal for your laptop, but it will only work where your cellphone gets a signal, and you will have to pay the charges for being on your cellphone for the time you are on the internet, including any roaming/long distance fees.

Go with Sprint – they have the latest 3G cards out – And only 59.99 a month for unlimited use.
