I’m planning a trip to Burbank, CA from Oklahoma City and I’ve done some searching on Yahoo Travel but I think the price might be a little much.
I don’t mind flying into LAX but prefer BUR.
Also, what’s the best time to purchase airfare?

try the site below, and flights during the middle of the week are usually cheaper than around weekends or holidays, but flying on the day of a holiday can be cheap too. Oh and LAX is uaually cheaper than BUR,
Look up on cheaptickets.com
they combine all websites and the best time “earlier = better”
I have been very satified with http://www.expedia.com; using them both for continental and internatioal trips. The best days to travel are Tuesday and Thursday and some smaller airports are less costly then International airports. If you are 50 or over try AARP Travel; it’s great, too! Good luck and have fun.
check http://www.kayak.com, fares are given based on the direct online purchasing to the airline which i find domestic fare cheaper rather than buying to agents
