What is the best way to market an eBook on the internet?
I have written an eBook that offers musicians advice on the realities of being on the road.
Background Info:
My eBook is 50+ pages of real-world advice. I plan to write several more eBooks, focusing on the needs of musicians (I am a musician, so I write about what I know best).
I have offered my eBook on eBay:

And I have also setup a website that allows for instant payment and instant download with PayPal: http://www.neckandbody.com
Basically, the store is setup, payment mechanisms in place, but I am having a hard time driving traffic to my webpage to get sales.
So, what are the best avenues to market an eBook online?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hello.
There are a number of ways to market an ebook on line.
First one of the biggest way would be though ClickBank. Offer a decent commission to sellers and they will promote your ebook for you.
Another way is though forums. Most of them will allow you to put a sig line link on your postings. Start answering some questions or making post on forums that are in your field and use the sig line to link to your website.
If you can’t find a forum, why not start one? You can get the scripts to start your own at http://www.simplemachines.org/
Very easy to set up. Then you can have your own platform to help others and drive traffic to your site.
Blog’s work too. Share your ideas and knowledge with the rest of the world and plug your ebook at the same time.
Write articles about your niche and post them to article sharing sites. They allow you to post a bio with your article and you can direct them to your site. When others post your articles on their site, the bio gets posted too.
Those are just a few ideas. If you think outside the box, I know you’ll come up with others. It takes time and work, but as it catches on, you’ll start to see more traffic and money from sales.
Hope this helps you. Good luck with your future endeavors,
Robbie
PS. You might want to consider putting your ebook in PDF instead of an .exe file. Depending on what software you use to create it, some .exe files won’t work on some computers or for people running IE7. And Mac owners can’t view it either. Using PDF will cut out all those problems and you can still have the same bookmarks and links in it. If you want to know how to do it without having to spend $400 for the Adobe software, contact me thru the link in the source box. Robbie
