What Is The Best Way To Have Internet High Speed Capabilitities When Located In The Country?

I am considering the purchase of a home in a relatively remote location. I must have internet access.
No “normal” type carrier offers service in the area. Also, cell phone service is limited there, so, I cannot hook up my pc with such technology that would enable this type of approach (for example, Verizon air card, etc.).
Is satellite connectivity the only answer?

Satellite is one option, and likely your only option. However satellite has many flaws, and is not perfect. Wireless is an excellent option if you have a local wireless provider.

We see quite a few of these “out in the country” type questions. You have to ask yourself if, in a year or so, you will be so fed up with the restricted Internet access and the limited cell phone service, you regret moving to such a remote location.
The local availability of technology is the new factor to be taken into consideration when choosing a location to put down roots
