Any 3rd party will work. Here is why they will give you a better deal
When you do an upgrade thru Sprint, you have the service agreement or contract thru Sprint for the discount. You have that also thru Amazon, Wirefly etc. What many consumers do not realize is that you also have a second service agreement thru that third party. If you add a feature or change your rate plan or make no changes at all you are agreeing to the set up of the account for a certain time frame. Most are between 3 – 6 months.
The return policy is based on that 3rd party and the phone may not be covered by Sprint’s warranty program. You may upgrade and recieve an unlocked phone which means you could also have issues with functions of the phone more commonly internet which also interferes with picture messaging.
I have worked as a CSR for a different wireless company for over 4 years and these are examples of calls I have recieved from customers who took advantage of the better deals. Mainly wanting to know why they were charged an early termination or cancellation fee on their credit card after changing features or rate plan on their account.
