Are Offers I’m Getting For My Used Vehicle Over The Internet From Out Of Area Parties Legitimate?

I have several offers for my used vehicle over the internet and the buyers tell me they will send cashiers checks to cover the vehicle cost and shipping. I am wondering if this is a scam.
